1. The Capitol and Paseo Jose Marti

The "Paseo Jose Marti" can be your point of reference. From here you can walk to China Town, "El Malecon", "La Habana Vieja",etc. If you see a big group of men talking out load, you found "La esquina caliente". This is a group of men talking about baseball. It is quite interesting to listen :)

2. La Habana Vieja

La Habana Vieja is the most important area to visit in The Havana. There are colorful/old/destroyed buildings, parks, narrow streets with history, churches and lots of restaurants with live music.

3. La Bodeguita del Medio

Mojitos were born here, or that is what they said :) Big personalities came here and left their signature on the walls of this big restaurant/bar. You should do the same if you please.

4. Plaza de la Revolucion

Here is where you will find the giant and mythical Che Guevara's Face. Jose Marti Memorial is also located in this square.

No matter at what time you go, there would be always people at "El Malecon". It is a great place for people watching :) You have 80% probability to end up talking with a cuban here.

6. El Morro

Go around 7pm so you don't miss "El Cañonazo" at 9pm. You will be able to see the sunset from here as well. The tour is affordable and will explain you a little bit of history about Cuba and its costumes.

If you are not with a tour, I recommend you to go and explore the area and check some of the tobacco plantations.

Fun Fact! This is not a real prehistoric painting, but is worth it the visit. You can explore the "cueva del indio" and ride a boat in the underwater river.

If you are into beaches, take your time to find the best spot in Varadero. We are talking about crystal water and white sand beaches. You should also explore some of the keys if you are lucky and have some extra days.
